HACKENSACK, N.J. – The Fairleigh Dickinson softball team is conducting a fundraiser that will honor the veterans of the United State Armed Forces this Veteran's Day by creating a 'sea of red white and blue' on the FDU Softball Field.

Flags will be planted on the softball on Veteran's Day. At 9 a.m. on November 11, the Star Spangled Banner will be played and a moment of silence will be observed at the FDU Softball Field.  

Donations can be made of $1 for a 4x6 flag and $5 for an 8x11 flag, at all home sporting events between now and Veteran's Day. Donations can also be mailed via check to the Athletic Department at 1000 River Rd. H-AT1-01 Teaneck, NJ 07666 or if you see a softball player on campus. Donations will benefit the Wounded Warrior Project.

All flags will be marked with a name of a local veteran. If you would like to have the flag marked with a specific veteran please specify when you send your check or when you make a donation in person.
