WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. – The Fairleigh Dickinson women's track and field team competed in the Moonlight at the MAC competition hosted by Monmouth University on Wednesday night.
On the track, freshman
Skye Tiller (Woodbury, N.J./Woodbury) placed fourth in the 800m with her time of 2:24.11. The effort produced the second-best 800m time of her young FDU career.
In the weight throw on Wednesday, Northeast Conference champion
Dwanya Freeland (Manhattan, NY/A. Philip Randolph) took third with a distance of 16.38m (53'9”). The mark matches her distance from the FDU Knights Classic when she set a then-school record. Since the opening event of the season, Freeland has broken FDU's weight throw record two more times.
Sophomore
Tayona Brown (Ewing, NJ/Ewing) took part in the long and high jumps on the day. In the long jump, Brown reached 5.26m (17'3.25”) and cleared the bar set at 1.55m (5'1) in the high jump.
The Knights will now turn their attention to the ECAC Championships March 1-3 in Boston, Mass.
