The 1991-92 Women's Basketball Team is the first Women's Basketball team inducted and it illustrates honor and dedication. Eighteen years later, this team still holds the overall record for most wins in a season standing at 23-6.

Starting off the season with a 6 game winning streak and moving onto a 14-2 record within the first 16 games, the team dominated. In addition, the women compiled an unprecedented 12-1 mark in the Rothman Center and handed defending league champion and regular season champion Mount St. Mary's its only conference loss of the season. Lastly, the team went on to capture the Northeast Conference Tournament Title defeating Long Island (69-57) and Mount St. Mary's (78-55).

Team honors:

  • Freshman Barbara DeShields was names Newcomer of the Year and Tournament MVP.
  • Juniors Rita Bernert and Felicia Griffin earned All-Tournament team honors as well First and Second Team All-League honors, respectively.
  • Junior Trina Ricketts also earned All-Conference Second Team accolades.
